safeguarding in the collective
The Lonely Hearts Club is built to be a safe, respectful and inclusive space for women to connect, build friendships and experience girlhood in a way that feels real and supportive. The following guidelines are in place to help protect that space and the women within it.
our approach to safety
We take safeguarding seriously and are committed to creating an environment where all members feel comfortable, respected and protected. This is a women-only space, and we take steps to ensure that boundary is respected at all times, by joining our community you agree to the terms on joining us. All community spaces and gatherings are actively moderated, with clear expectations around behaviour, communication and respect.
community expectations
To help maintain a safe and supportive environment, we ask that all members:
treat others with kindness and respect
respect personal boundaries and differences
avoid harmful, inappropriate or disruptive behaviour
engage in a way that supports a positive and inclusive space
Any behaviour that goes against these expectations may result in removal from the community.
reporting concerns
We understand that things don’t always feel right, and it’s important that you have a way to speak up.
We provide a confidential reporting system where members can raise concerns about behaviour, interactions or anything that feels out of place.
Reports can be made anonymously, and all concerns are taken seriously and reviewed by our team. contact us here
breach of guidelines
Any behaviour that compromises the safety or wellbeing of others will be addressed. This includes:
warnings
removal from specific spaces or events
permanent removal from The Lonely Hearts Club
We reserve the right to take action where necessary to protect the community.
verification and safety measures
In situations where there are concerns around the safety, behaviour or authenticity of a member, we will take additional steps to verify accounts.
This may include requesting further information or identification where appropriate, in order to protect the integrity of the space.
events and gatherings
All Girlhood Gatherings are hosted in a moderated environment. We keep group sizes intentionally small to support connection and ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all attendees. Participants are expected to follow the same community expectations during live events as they would within our online spaces.
a final note
This space has been created with care, intention and a genuine desire to bring women together in a way that feels safe, supportive and genuine.
We ask that everyone who joins plays a part in protecting that. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to harassment, discrimination or predatory behaviour of any kind.
